Blue Ice - Glacier hiking Day Tour

Blue Ice
Here is your chance to get to grips with a glacier, a rugged, moving expanse of ever-changing ice.

Explore Sólheimajökull outlet glacier. Criss-crossed with crevasses, sink holes and jagged ridges, this icy landscape is just a stone’s throw from Eyjafjallajökull, the notorious volcano that burst into life in early 2010. An experienced glacier guide will find a suitable ice wall on the glacier so that you can try your hand at ice climbing. You will be provided with all the equipment you need – ice axes, crampons and safety lines – and make sure that you are perfectly safe as you bravely ascend the frozen heights.

See the impressive waterfall Skógafoss, 65 m high and 25 m wide, on your way back to Reykjavík.

This trip will take you places few have trodden before you. Be adventurous – get the adrenalin pumping – feel the rush and experience the ice!
