Saddle up and head out into the lava fields surrounding the extinct
volcano of Mt Helgafell. Visit the old sheep corral then head for Lake
Hvaleyrarvatn. This is a truly scenic ride on horseback with a backdrop
of jagged peaks and wild terrain.
Set in delightful surroundings
just outside the town of Hafnarfjörður, a short 10-minute drive from
Reykjavík, the modern riding centre is well-equipped and staffed by
experienced personnel who will ensure the safety and comfort of
visitors. They will provide you with warm overalls, wet-weather gear,
riding boots, helmets and gloves as appropriate.
Riding centre
staff will find a horse to suit your individual needs, then you will set
off with a guide, riding on excellent bridleways through woodland and
along mountain tracks into exhilarating volcanic terrain.

in package: Transfer to and from the riding centre, trekking on
horseback as per itinerary, riding helmets, rubber boots, rain wear or a
