Remarkable Greenland - Kulusuk

Grænland37jpg.jpgKulusuk is only a two-hour flight from Reykjavik and is located on Greenlands East Coast. Kulusuk is a small town, consisting of ca.400 residence and in very close proximity to Angmagssalik town with around 1500 Inuit residence.

Arriving in Kulusuk is quite the experience, since Kulusuk is the gateway to East Greenland. The visitor will get a glimpse into an extraordinary way of life, among impressive mountains and icebergs floating in the sea.

In Kulusuk there are some of the east coast’s most skilful craftsmen, whose "tupilaks" are of exceptional quality and there the visitors can see how important traditional hunting and fishing, is to the people of the area.

A tourguide escorts the visitors through the town and informs the visitor of what's noteworthy in Kulusuk.
Weather permitting, we’ll be treated to kayaking demonstrations and an ancient drum dance reflective of the indigenous culture.
During the return flight to Reykjavík enjoy the view over huge glaciers and floating icebergs!
